Do you know Carrie’s favorite brand of shoes from the TV show “Sex and the City”?
And today I’m going to share with you one of my favourite shoe brands! Manolo Blahnik is a Spanish designer who gained fame in the 70s with his classic, elegant and timeless shoes. The brand became more relevant when Carrie Bradshaw, Sarah Jessica Parker’s character on the Sex and the City TV show, completely fell in love with the brand’s high heels.
One of the favourite luxury shoe brands for brides
And if you think about making a statement on your wedding, consider “a pair of Manolos” (as they are known in the fashion world). In addition to being extremely comfortable (a key point for your big day), they are elegant, sexy, powerful and have a superior quality. The most famous model is the Hangisi, but other options, such as Pilina, Seneca, Serba, Lisa 70 and Nadira 90 also go pretty well with a bridal dress. All of them are covered with fabrics soft to the touch and feature embroidery, stones and lots of spark.
Where to find them
Despite its huge success, Manolo only has two physical stores: one in London and another in New York. You can also buy online as they deliver to several countries in the world. I also remember seeing a small section of the brand at the Dubai Mall in Dubai.
Something blue
I’m pretty sure you know the American tradition of the bride wearing “something blue” as a lucky charm? Because of this some brides choose shoes in blue shades and nowadays there’s nothing more interesting than “breaking” the rules when it comes to wearing colourful shoes. I particularly love this trend and I think it is great to be able to wear your bridal shoes over and over again.
So get some inspiration from Carrie with her Manolos for your wedding. After all, there’s nothing like acquiring a pair of shoes for life and also be able to remember your wedding day with style 🙂
